God of the impossible
Written by Han on 24 January 2022
When I think about the Lord, I usually think of Him as God of the POSSIBLE, but I came to understand that He is also the God of the impossible.
Everything is possible through Him (Matthew 19:26); even to endure those things we thought would not be possible – the typical ‘middle-of-the-storm-things’ that we so many times wish we could pray away.
Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
Matt 19.26
In my own life, I have discovered that He is God of the possible and God of the impossible. I have seen Him open doors where there were none (impossible) and even create solutions that were not there before (possible).
God of the impossible at work
I have often heard: ‘You are lucky, you just came at the right time because this is something new that we have not done before.’ Then I know this is God of the possible at work.
Luck has nothing to do with it. Serving the most-high King, the King of kings, has everything to do with it. I have experienced first-hand how He creates solutions – big and small – because He loves us. That does not mean that we receive everything on a silver platter. Sometimes things are tough; we need to stand in faith, but His Word promises that He will never leave us nor forsake us.
The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.
Deut 31:8
Today I wish to invite you to take the one BIG thing you trust Him for – the thing you perceive as impossible – and lay it before God. See yourself putting it on the altar, as Abraham did with Isaac, and trust Him to take that situation into His hands.
I stand with you in faith and ask Him to intervene in the situation according to His will. So let’s trust our God, through whom everything is possible, even the impossible!
What a mighty God we serve!
