Remaining close to God

Written by on 17 October 2024

Staying close to God requires a conscious effort to have a relationship with Him. This involves seeking His will, praying, and acknowledging His presence through our actions and thoughts. Psalm 63 helps us understand that this relationship is a longing for God, like a thirst that only He can quench.

The Feeling of Separation from God

There are times in every believer’s life when it feels as if God is distant. Trials, worries, or weaknesses can cause these moments. Yet, we must remember that this feeling is often deceptive. God never abandons us, even if our circumstances may make it seem that way.

God’s Faithfulness in Our Relationship

In Psalm 63:8, David says:

My soul clings to you; your right hand upholds me

This verse reminds us that even when we feel like we are losing our grip on God, He never lets go of us. He remains faithful, supports us, and carries us through difficult times. Our relationship with God is not based on our emotions but His unchanging love.

The Power of Seeking and Prayer

God is Always Near, Regardless of Our Emotions

Even though we sometimes feel far from God, He is always close to us. He is always with us, ready to carry and strengthen us. If you think the journey is too difficult to walk alone, contact our Care Center so we can stand with you in prayer.
